Quick turnaround at GelreDome: hundreds of bucket seats replaced just before concert series

In the run-up to Suzan & Freek’s concerts, the schedule at GelreDome was under considerable pressure. Shortly before the build-up of the concert series, hundreds of bucket seats still had to be assembled and replaced within a very limited timeframe.

Normally, the installation is carried out by GelreDome’s regular technical organisation. However, the combination of preparation, event planning and limited time available created a need for additional execution capacity. VDL Sports Projects was called in to provide assistance.

In an exceptionally short period, the team handled both the production and installation of approximately 200 to 300 bucket seats. Speed played a crucial role, without compromising on quality or safety.

In situations like these, it is about more than simply carrying out the work. It is about thinking along with the client, responding quickly and taking care of everything for them when the pressure is at its highest. By freeing up capacity immediately and adapting flexibly to the schedule, the stadium was able to remain fully focused on preparing for the concert series.
